Innu Nikamuniss
Cultural activities
The festival has always given pride of place to toddlers and their families.
Supported by the Innu-aimun and Innu-aitun sector of ITUM, cultural activities are offered throughout the event.
Crafts, traditional food tastings, workshops... Everything comes together to make Innu Nikamuniss a great Innu family celebration!

Makusham Sunday
As is tradition, the festival ends in a spirit of sharing and celebration with Makusham Sunday, a unifying and festive moment rooted in the heart of Innu culture.
As part of Innu Nikamuniss, this event showcases the culinary and cultural richness of the land through a free community meal, open to all.
On the menu:
Enjoy iconic traditional dishes such as partridge, geese, beaver, salmon, caribou pie, bannock and pemikan (dried meat and caribou marrow on bannock).
Makusham Sunday is our way of saying tshinashkumitin (thank you) and closing the festival together, in warmth, music and unity.
